Oasis Family and Children
Since 2022, 78% of the 435 families have shared that they 'feel better about themselves and their community' because of engaging with Oasis Hub Waterloo. Our team supports parents facing challenges like debt, housing insecurity and domestic abuse. Our services include:
Bibs & Bots for children 0-5 yrs parents/carers and grandparents. Children engage in soft play, sing along, arts and crafts, healthy eating together, drawing, painting, indoors and outdoors activities toys in a safe place.
Bibs & Bots Tuesdays and Fridays mornings 10 - 12 (term time only) at Oasis Playspace.

Parent/Carer Drop-in Sessions offering support and guidance with CV writing, job applications, accessing services and a safe space to talk openly and freely.

Feel Good Parent Coffee morning for parents/carers to participate in parent gym, facial massage, yoga therapy held at play space, well-being support, school updates, additional support from Oasis staff team and local services supporting families with debt advice, foodbank, community fridge, rent arrears, council tax support, and bills.

Make and Mend Sewing Club for beginners to experience seamstress, to meet other people together learning the art and joy of sewing.
Make and Mend Sewing Club Friday 12 - 3pm (term time only) at Oasis Playspace.
After School Stay and Play offers children and their families to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities, playing together in a safe space, arts and crafts, football, cricket, meeting friends and twice a week community dining with a free hot healthy meal for everyone.

Kizomba is more than a dance - it's a social experience, with smooth movements and great music, all inspired by African roosts and set in a welcoming community environment.
Kizomba Wednesday mornings 9:30 - 11am at Oasis Playspace. Donations welcome as it's run by a local parent.
Holiday programmes for children and families are delivered during the school holiday (except Christmas). Please talk with Coretta, Wafaa or Sonya for more information.
